LOGO HISTORY
OSW has had three minor logo updates, the first one occuring on the cover of the magazine's second issue. The words "Online Series Weekly" now appeared in a Futura/Century Gothic font style with a slight rightward overshadowing effect. This next update would occur three issue down the road, when Spencer Street' Execute Producer, Darren Rowe, oversaw the production of OSW's fifth issue. The words "Online Series Weekly" appeard in an Impact font style with the shadow effect directly beneath the words. When Ty Junior returned to the helm, he saw the need for a revitalized logo and keeping with the same trend, he included the words "Online" and "Weekly" superimposed on the word "Series," which rested in the middle of the logo in a bold Swiss font style, slightly faded to allow for contrast between it and the words "Online Weekly." The shadow effect prevalent on the words in the previous version was instead just reserved for the surrounding logo.
THE CONTENT
A typical issue generally includes latest news and developments, coming & goings, character spotlights, feature stories, and a series screen update. On occasion, there will be a Q&A with the writers/producers of AP, rumor mills, trivia, and 1-on-1 character interviews.
SPECIAL NOTE: After nearly two years off the presses, OSW Magazine is returning to the web in December '08 / January '09.

All images used within may or may not be subject to copyright. This combo magazine/network team would feature websoaps: One Day at a Time (ODaaT), LOVE, Mysteries of Our Lives (MOOL), and Spencer Street (S|S). In the coming months, ODaaT would go on an undefined hiatus and LOVE would be cancelled, making way for two new additions to the network. Behind Closed Doors (BCD) and Dangerous Tides (DT) joined in January of 2005. A few months later, AP would add a 5th series, Heart and Soul (H&S). On August 21, 2006, excited about the possibility of expanding its series roster, AP welcomed All or Nothing (created by Josh Hawkins) and Almost Golden (created by Pat Walsh, producer of LOVE) into the reins. This marked the first time that the network has held more than "5" steady series in its line-up. In January 2007, AP added its 8th websoap, Moments of Existence (MOE), after months of deliberation. Oddly enough, following the signing of MOE, Ty Junior decided to put OSW Magazine on the back burner and halted presses following the release of OSW's 10th Issue. His websoap, MOOL, also went on an official undefined hiatus, following right behind AON, BCD, and DT. Almost Golden (AG) has been on seasonal break, leaving Moments of Existence, Spencer Street, and Heart and Soul to fill in the empty time slots. Unfortunately, Tyler Elzey, executive producer of MOE, announced in July of 2007 he would be discontinuing MOE in it's online form. As a result, AP is in a state of transition..
Other popular series, including Fire of the Heart, The Wraith, and Surburban Ways, have also been featured in OSW Magazine, but failed to be picked up by AP at the time of their original contract arrangements. DESIGN HISTORY
under the helm of Ty Junior, creator of OSW Magazine. His design eliminated the multi-color boxes designated for each show under Dallas Walsh' installment of the site. Junior also scrapped the logo used on the original design and went for a more simplistic logo (r.) that would sit alongside a banner that showcased individual characters/couples from each of the featured shows at the time. This version of the site had two color variations: the first being light blue (as seen in the logo) and the second being a murky/sea green, which appeared in September of that year. By March of 2005, AP would receive a complete overhaul.
On March 20, Absolute Productions returned online with a softer and sleeker look. Junior once again scrapped the AP Logo for a brand new one, which featured the words "Absolute Productions Network" on black wallpaper matted with a light green web. That similar web-like appearance appeared in the background of the site. Instead of a banner showcasing individual characters/couples from each of the featured shows, the site used 2-3 episode promo banners for it's featured series that were airing episodes that week/month. This design also featured links to each of the featured series' homepage in the left navigational menu. The 2005 design was marked heavily by the first year of the APN Websoap Awards, as well as a short-lived link exchange contest that Junior held at AP's online community forum, OSWMagger. As lovely as this design was, server problems and other issues led to it's eventual change.
On March 4, 2006, AP Network had abandon all use of green. Instead, opting for a brownish/tan look. This design also got rid of the logo altogether, and settled for a banner that featured characters from each of the featured websoaps. In the body of the site, it implemented a right iFrame which included updates that kept visitors and fans abreast on what was going on. For a while, it was able to make use of the banner promo feature that was highly effective in the last design. This design differed from all others in that it included a top navigational link menu. It also had new features such as Downloadable E-CAPS and the APN Darkroom (of course, the darkroom never did darken webwaves and as you will see with the current design in place, has been removed). In addition, this prototype probably had the most tweaking
between colors and banner changes alone as a darker look, still keeping in tune with the brownish/tan color scheme graced computer screens on November 23, 2006 (as seen to your left). This would remain the central design up until July 28, 2007.
In late July, AP Network received a rejuvenated logo and banner, which no longer featured characters from All or Nothing, Behind Closed Doors, Dangerous Tides or Moments of Existence. The four afforementioned websoaps all went on hiatus between March 2006 and July 2007, and it is not known when or if they will return.
